Camp Manager

Looking for a Camp Manager for a 5* star lodge in the Timbavati. This is a live-in position.

Experience required:
Experience in the service industry especially in dealing with guests and staff
Previous camp manger / safari host experience an advantage
Previous experience in a 5 star lodge is an advantage
Previous experience in working with kids an advantage
A basic knowledge of Windows and general computer skill- would be advantageous
Valid unendorsed SA driver’s license essential
Energetic, proactive person with well-developed concept of the importance of providing a world-class guest experience and the ability to provide that experience as per the company standards
Good interpersonal skills – able to function as part of a team
Attention to detail and initiative
Flexible and good ability to adapt to change
Diligence and self-motivation to meet deadlines and keep on top of your job
Willingness/ability to share information and teach and inspire others

Duties:
Prepare welcome and departure notes for guests, update day sheets and all admin related work
Check guests in during the day and manage dietaries, children, or any other special requests
Implement and follow the BOPs
Host guests during the day
Ensure that all products that come into contact with the guest are consistently of the correct standard
Check set ups for breakfast, lunch and dinner
Make sure the main area is always tidy and styled to the BOPs
Host guests at all meal times and check smooth running of service from the kitchen and waiters
Work closely with Butlers and HODs to maintain a high service standard
Assist in any other departments as and when required
Host/Assist with children’s activities at the lodge
Provide superior service and quality to guests
Must enjoy working with children and be creative when planning fun children’s activities
Assist in the safari shop when needed. Stock takes and sales
Assist with stock takes in all departments
Assist in Guest check outs
Follow the Covid protocols set out by the lodge and help manage them
