SAIPA TRAINEE ACCOUNTANT
Location: Menlo Park, Pretoria
Salary: R 180 000, 00 per annum
Starting Date: ASAP

REQUIREMENT: Bachelors studies completed (end 2023) or at and advanced stage of completion of SAIPA accredited Bachelor’s studies
Application Instruction:
Our client is a well-established auditing practice, which is registered with IRBA and SAIPA and as a training office for the auditing elective. They have a great team and culture, and give their SAIPA trainees a well-rounded and complete training experience to enable their trainees to grow and develop into Chartered Accountants of the future.

The position entails the duties and competencies, as set out in the SAIPA Training Regulations including accounting, auditing, taxation and administrative duties.
The successful applicant:
- Must be proficient in English - read, write and speak and basic Afrikaans
- Must have the intention to complete the full three-year SAIPA Training Contract, or the remainder of the SAIPA Training Contract if the trainee is transferring from an out-of-town firm, in order to qualify as a Professional Accountant (SA)
- Must have completed a SAIPA approved relevant degree from an approved tertiary institution which qualifies the trainee to enter into a SAIPA Training Contract
- Must be computer literate
- Must have own transport and a valid SA driver’s license
Essential requirements

· All applicants must meet all the following requirements:

· Must be proficient in English - read, write and speak, and basic Afrikaans.

· Must agree to complete the SAICA / SAIPA training contract, in order for the Trainee Accountant to qualify as a Chartered Accountant (SA) / Professional Accountant.

· Must have: o Either completed a SAICA / SAIPA accredited bachelor’s degree at an approved tertiary institution or o At an advanced stage of completion of a SAICA / SAIPA accredited Bachelor’s studies.

· Must be fully computer literate

· Must have own reliable transport and a valid SA driver’s license.

· Must reside in Pretoria or willing to relocate to Pretoria, or be within reasonable travelling distance of Pretoria to make daily commuting to the office in Menlo Park possible.

· Must not have been in full-time employment for longer than 2 years, or already be serving under a SAICA training contract. May have been in full-time employment for less than 2 years, or may have worked part time or during holidays.
