Job Description

Our Organization is searching for an enthusiastic, hardworking laundry attendant committed to providing our guests with an exceptional stay at our hotel. Our laundry attendants perform a variety of tasks such as washing, ironing, pressing, and folding linens and should be comfortable talking with guests and making them feel at ease.

laundry attendant Responsibilities
Lubricates machines, mends torn articles, and sorts and counts articles to verify quantities on laundry lists
Attend service desk with heavy customer service
Sorts clean towels, rugs and robes
Operates and maintains folding equipment
Gathers and launders soiled pool towels
Sort out and remove stained, torn, frayed, or unsightly linen and terry
Maintain laundry area in a clean and orderly manner
Maintain housekeeping and customer service standards by ensuring that towels, sheets and linens are cleaned, ironed (if necessary)
Respond to guest service issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
Maneuver laundry cart with linen up to 400lbs

Laundry Attendant Requirements and Qualifications
The ability to communicate in English is preferred
Ability to lift heavy bags of laundry, stand, and remain active throughout a normal shift
Friendly, personable demeanor and professional appearance
Basic cash handling skills
Reads, writes, and speaks basic English
Excellent oral and written communication skills to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and interact effectively with co-workers, supervisors and guests
Ability to assist co-workers with their job duties and be a team player
