Job Description
• Ensure that tooling is serviced and set up to the correct specification, available for production with all necessary equipment and fittings in line with planning requirements.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tool and dies.
• Troubleshoot issues with tool and dies to ensure production needs are met.
• Maintain and upgrade fixtures and gages.
• Leads employees in good die maintenance and build practices.
• Instructs in general machining practices.
• Makes decisions and judgements about proper course of action for repairs and maintenance.
• Maintains good safety and housekeeping practices.
• Demonstrates good short- and long-term decision making and trouble shooting skills, tool room machining practices, safety, diagnosis of problems and course of action, and tool room repair and maintenance work.
• Responsible for providing and implementing process improvement ideas.
• Promotes teamwork and shows a willingness to work well in other departments.
• Demonstrates good work planning practices to do jobs in a very timely, efficient and safe manner.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the Factory/position
