Deliveries Driver

Position Overview: We are looking for a competent Driver to transport our goods in a safe and timely manner. The Driver will be responsible for driving company vehicles, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations, and providing exceptional customer service. We would like to hire a female in this position for further development in the industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Safely operate company vehicles, including cars / vans.
2. Transport goods to various locations as per assigned routes and schedules.
3. Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving.
4. Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and ensure that company vehicles are in good working condition.
5. Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained, both inside and outside.
6. Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
7. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, team members, and clients as needed.
8. Handle any unexpected situations or emergencies that may arise during transportation.Qualifications:
1. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (Car and motorcycle license required)
2. Proven experience as a professional driver, preferably in a similar role.
3. Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
4. Ability to operate both manual and automatic vehicles.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Good physical condition, with the ability to lift and carry heavy items if required.
7. Attention to detail and a focus on safety at all times.
8. Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation apps for efficient route planning.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Preferably needs semi-technical capabilities to evolve into other positions within the company.
2. Additional certifications or training in defensive driving, first aid, or vehicle maintenance.
3. Prior experience working as a driver in the transportation industry.
4. Knowledge of basic vehicle troubleshooting and repair.
5. English and Afrikaans speaking necessary.
