Junior Graphic Designer

Position: Junior Graphic Designer

Our well established client is looking for a graphic designer overseeing various aspects of design, print production, staff management, and customer service. You will be responsible for creating captivating designs using CorelDRAW, managing our Roland large format printer, supervising other staff members, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Design Creation: Utilize CorelDRAW and other design software to create visually appealing designs for various print materials.
2. Print Production Management: Operate and maintain the Roland large format printer, ensuring optimal performance and high-quality output. Manage print jobs efficiently, including color management, print scheduling, and material inventory.
3. Staff Supervision: Lead and motivate a small team of print production assistants, providing guidance, training, and support as needed. Delegate tasks effectively and ensure productivity and quality standards are met.

5. Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks on printed materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to client specifications and company standards.
6. Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on printing equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
7. Workflow Optimization: Implement efficient workflows and processes to streamline design and print production operations, improve productivity, and meet project deadlines effectively.
8. Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards in all aspects of design, print production, and workplace practices.

Qualifications:
• Proficiency in CorelDRAW
• Experience operating and maintaining large format printers, preferably Roland models.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Ability to multitask, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of print production processes, materials, and techniques.
• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
• Previous experience in a similar role within the printing industry is preferred.
