• Responsible for performance and development of customs dept
• Align with SARS processes and policies, strong knowledge of customs law.
• Sound knowledge of customs tariffs.
• Provide weekly / monthly reports.
• Ensure controls and processes are adhered to.
• Mentor and set example areas of personal character, commitment & organizational skills.
• Keep up to date with customs changes and provide feedback to fellow staff.
• Confident in various aspects – customs framing, customs refunds, customs stops, TDN’S, duty drawback, state warehouse, customs QC, HS codes and tariffing, RCG.
• Knowledge of Ship Shape.
