Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Student Assistant Teacher to join our team. As a Student Assistant Teacher, you will work closely with our main teacher to provide support in all subjects and assist in creating an engaging and effective learning environment for students aged 7 to 15. This role requires competence in all subjects, adaptability, a fun and approachable demeanor, quick learning abilities, and exceptional multitasking skills.

Responsibilities:

Assist the main teacher in implementing lesson plans and delivering instructional material across multiple subjects.
Facilitate small group activities and provide one-on-one support to students who require additional assistance.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and engagement from students.
Help create and maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, ensuring materials and resources are readily available.
Utilize various teaching strategies and techniques to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
Support students in developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and study skills.
Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and assist in maintaining accurate records of student performance.
Assist in preparing instructional materials, including worksheets, handouts, and visual aids.
Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students aged 7 to 15.
Strong knowledge and competence in all subjects, including mathematics, science, English, social sciences, afrikaans and others.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues.
Adaptable and flexible approach to teaching, with the ability to modify strategies to meet individual student needs.
Energetic and enthusiastic personality, with a passion for inspiring and motivating young learners.
Quick learner with the ability to grasp new concepts and adapt to changing situations effectively.
Exceptional multitasking and organizational abilities to handle various tasks simultaneously.
Previous experience working with children or tutoring/mentoring experience is an asset.
Valid background check and clearances as required by the institution.
Job Type: Part-time

Part-time hours: 20 per week

Salary: From R5,500.00 per month
