Job Description

Are you a kitchen designer or a carpenter?

Home Concept is a successful, well-established kitchen and furniture company with service points throughout South Africa. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced carpenter or cabinet maker to join our dynamic team in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing high-quality custom-built cabinets and/or installations based on company-provided specifications, kitchen design, sales, and customer service. The candidate must have experience with designing kitchens, BICs, custom cabinetry, and installation experience.

To be considered for an interview, you must be goal-driven, and have business acumen, with a particular focus on the kitchen cupboard sector. If you have excellent woodworking skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to interpret and follow blueprints and design plans, then we are looking for you. Responsibilities and Duties -

Liaising with clients
Measuring and consulting on-site
Developing and creating inspiring proposals
Management of customer quotes, contracts, payments and orders
Order tracking and management from start to finish on each job
Following up on leads
Converting leads to sales
Meeting monthly sales targets
Reviewing test and measure reports
Participation in tradeshows, exhibitions, and networking to promote the brand
Monitoring the target market, finding out the competitors, keeping up with the trends, latest innovations, and products
Administration
Achieving KPI’s
Requirements, Qualifications and Skills

Grade 12 or higher
3 years of experience as a kitchen designer or a carpenter(or related roles)
Strong entrepreneur skills
Owning a vehicle is essential
A background in Kitchen Design is an advantage however, training will be provided for our system
Sales driven
Must love working with people
Customer Service is imperative
Must be willing to work the retail hours
Have a “can do” positive and enthusiastic attitude
Have a Friendly, Efficient, and Flexible Ability to find solutions
Good communication skills
Previous Experience preferred
Must be well organized, reliable, and hard-working as well as a strong team player
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Must be able to pay close attention to detail
Knowledge of CAD software and 3D modelling for design visualization would be an advantage.
