Job Description
The specific purpose of this role would be to assist the Directors and our C.E.O in implementing and maintaining a new Accounting Software System, managing payments and associated ledgers/cashbooks, reviewing payments received and daily banking/credit card transactions.
SUMMARY OF MAIN DUTIES:
Initial implementation and maintenance of Xero Accounting and supporting software across all departments of the Company.
Maintaining the General Ledger, including reconciliations to Sub Ledgers on a monthly basis
Daily reviewing of Cash Sales & Credit Card transactions
Periodic reconciliation of Cash Sale and Credit Card Ledger Accounts
Maintaining three separate Cash Books
Maintaining Fixed Asset Register
Authorization and payment of Creditors
Administration of product imports, including Payment Authorization and Cost Price calculations
Periodic Reconciliation of Petrol/Diesel Books
Attending to daily CIT Banking collection
Renewal of Annual Contracts and Vehicle Licenses
Preparation and finalization of Company for annual audit.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Previous Experience in a Financial Accounting or Related Field (Non-Negotiable)
Tertiary Financial Accounting Qualification (Non-Negotiable)
Previous Experience using the Xero Accounting System (Non- Negotiable)
DESIRED SKILL SET
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Financial Accounting or Related Field
Previous Experience in an Import Industry Advantageous
