JOB DESCRIPTION

A well-established Logistics company is looking for an individual with experience in Human Resource administration and Industrial Relations. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage full cycle recruitment including: Job descriptions, offer letters, advertising, interviewing, reference checking, arranging Fit‐For‐Duty testing and travel coordination
Provide HR advice and expertise to Managers and Supervisors in areas including: Employee relations, staffing, attendance management, performance management, salary and benefits, interpretation of company policies and procedures, and employment law;
Support site wide rollouts of HR projects and initiatives;
Create and manage all Employee files and records;
Ensure accuracy of HR databases and weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting primarily using Excel workbooks and SharePoint. Perform annual audits of all HR data systems;
Maintain records on disability, return to work and maternity leave outreach programs;
Maintain employee files, ensuring accurate and up‐to‐date record keeping;
Recommend and outline best practices for HR processes towards continuous improvement;
Provide input to annual departmental budgeting and periodic forecasts;
Ensure completeness and consistency in cost reporting on a monthly basis. Follow appropriate internal accounting controls and take the necessary action to enable effective cost, financial and management reporting;
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Front Line Supervisor Certification;
Maintain Valid Driver’s License;
Awareness of and compliance to the Company’s Performance Management Standards;
Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to, be aware of and sponsor the Company’s safety and environmental rules and procedures. Ensure accountability of Company’s Environmental, Health, Safety, Sustainability policies.
Complete all other related duties and projects as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS

Masters in HR/IR preferred.
Degree in HRM.
CIPD Qualification.
Full clean driver’s license

EXPERIENCE

7+ years of relevant Human Resources/Industrial Relations work experience.
3+ years of people management experience at senior level.
Experience with the budgeting process;
Excellent computer skills, particularly spreadsheet, word processing and presentation applications;
Advanced analytical, problem solving and decision making abilities;
Proven and exemplary leadership skills;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

Afrikaans home language / mother tongue is a must.
Strong organisational and people acumen with the ability to engage and influence leaders at senior levels in the organisation.
Demonstrable experience in analysing issues and providing scalable HR/IR solutions that align to broader organisational requirements.
Extensive experience implementing change management projects in a complex setting.
Strong IR/ER experience and ability to collaborate in a multi-union environment.
Excellent cross-group collaboration, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Pragmatic results-oriented individual with the ability to work professionally under pressure.
Courage to make tough decisions and deliver difficult messages with professionalism and poise.
Comfortable working in ambiguous situations.
Must possess consultative style and approach.
Proven ability to develop credible relationships with business partners.
