JOB TITLE: Mechanical Engineer - Pr. MechTech or Tech Mech Eng (Civils,Construction & Infrastructure)

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the managing, delivering, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the WCGDoI programme.

TASK DESCRIPTION

1. PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT FOR THE CLIENT/WCGDoI MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME

Managing the projects allocated, including but not limited to the following:

· Ensuring adherence with cashflow and programme.

· Drafting and reviewing of cashflow and programme.

· Meeting deadlines.

· Keeping the server up to date at all times.

· Ensuring that all documentation is filed correctly.

· Managing procurement.

· Managing consultant’s appointments and performance.

· Managing contractor’s appointments and performance.

· Complying with all processes and protocols.

· Management of Contracts, including JBCC and NEC.

· Checking invoices and their correctness.

· Reviews of invoices.

· Review of appointments, additional fees, and any other related matters.

· Making sure Auditor General audits are successfully completed.

DELIVERABLES

Needs to be accurate, precise, and correct.

Completed according to timelines.

2. GENERAL

Any additional administration tasks that may be required from time to time.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Programme Manager.

6. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

· Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Registered as a Pr. Mech Eng or Pr. Tech Mech Eng.)
* Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or an Engineering Technician/Technologist

7. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

· Experience in professional consulting Engineering firms.

· Experience in contracts (JBCC and NEC) administration and financial administration.

· Experience in or want to gain exp in Project/Programme Management is a bonus.

· Minimum experience: 3 years
