Importantly, we take a client-centered peer-lead approach, involving youth in all aspects of our work.

Job Description

Provide IT and operational support to the field team to ensure a continuous supply of stock and minimal downtime of the IT systems. The SOS / Driver also provides support to the field team by conducting all applicable tests according to Shout-It-Now protocols and quality standards. They provide a safe and reliable driving service for the team and stand in for the Team Leader in their absence when required.

Duties and Key Responsibilities:
• IT Support:
- Provides onsite IT infrastructure support to the field team.
- Conducts troubleshooting and resolves IT issues or refers them to the IT Support Desk.
- Creates, submits tickets / logs calls with the IT Support Desk according to Shout-It-Now’s Standard Operating Procedures.
- Follows up on tickets logged to ensure they are resolved.
- Collaborates with the IT to escalate issues promptly to minimize or eliminate downtime.
- Works with IT and installs IT upgrades with minimal assistance.

• Site Operations Support:
- Conducts site safety inspections on arrival to ensure that staff, site, assets and stock will be safe.
- Identifies potential site hazards and reports these to the Team Leader / Outreach Officer.
- Uses Operations checklist to confirm that the site is ready and confirms all equipment is in working order for daily operations.
- Performs weekly stock-take and manages stock ordering processes to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Implements process changes and makes recommendations for improvements to the Operations Department.
- Reports on all issues identified with stock, fleet and / or equipment / assets.
- Performs responsible medical waste management.
- Maintains and updates client records with minimal errors.
- Assists with site setup and take-down.
- Undertakes additional responsibilities reasonably requested by the Team Leader.

• HIV Testing & Counseling Services:
- Performs recruitment, testing and counseling as per Shout-It-Now procedures.
- Advises and refers HIV positive clients to relevant healthcare facilities for ART and additional Shout-It-Now services.
- Refers clients to behavioral programs.
- Refers clients for PrEP initiation and SRH services.
- Refers screened clients to the Social Worker for GBV services.
- Promotes Shout-It-Now’s services at sites.

• Driving and Vehicle Maintenance:
- Drives the team to and from the sites, safely and reliably.
- Adheres to South African Road Regulations.
- Fuels the vehicle at approved fuel stations and makes sure it is ready for daily use.
- Conducts daily pre- and post-trip vehicle checks using the Asset pool and makes recommendations for services and repairs.
- Ensures adherence to SOP’s regarding accident and incidents reporting.
- Arranges for the vehicle to be cleaned and maintained.

• Any other duties reasonably be required by the Team Leader.

Minimum Requirements:
• Matric
• Higher Certificate/National Diploma in IT and/or relevant qualification.
• HIV testing certification.
• Code 8 or 10 driver’s license.
• 1 – 2 Years’ experience in IT and providing IT support.
• 2 – 3 Years’ experience with HIV testing and counseling.
• 3 Years' regular driving experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
