Digital/Social Media Marketing Specialist

Position Overview:

We are seeking a creative and driven Social Media Specialist to join our marketing team. As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our social media strategy to increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts, and drive engagement across various platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of digital marketing, and social media trends, strong communication skills, and the ability to create compelling content that resonates with our target audience.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute social media strategies to align with business goals and objectives.
- Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, written) across social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Monitor and analyze social media metrics and KPIs to track performance and optimize strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with social media trends, tools, and best practices.
- Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster community growth.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate social media campaigns with overall marketing efforts.
- Plan and execute paid social media advertising campaigns (including budget management and performance tracking).
- Identify opportunities for partnerships, collaborations, and influencer marketing.

Qualifications:
- Matric or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

Requirements:
- Must be a South Africa citizen or hold a valid permit
- Must be between the ages of 25/35 years old.
- Proven experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role, with a strong portfolio of successful social media campaigns.
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, analytics tools, and social media management platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a creative and strategic mindset.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive decisions and measure ROI.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and achieving goals.
- Experience with graphic design and video editing software is a plus.
- Passion for social media and staying current with industry trends and best practices.
- 3-5 Years experience
- Reliably commute Johannesburg CBD daily or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R3 500,00 - R4 000,00 per month
