Ob Title: Safety Officer
Location: Alrode, Alberton
Monthly Salary: R21 000.00
Working Hours: 14:00 – 22:00

Key Responsibilities:
Employee Safety: Ensure the safety and physical integrity of the unit's employees by maintaining safe working conditions.
Uniforms and Equipment: Provide and manage stock of uniforms and protective equipment for all employees, ensuring proper usage.
Inspections: Conduct frequent inspections on routes and operational teams to certify the use of uniforms and protective equipment.
Risk Identification: Relate closely with the team, clients, and customers to identify potential risks and mitigate them proactively.
Risk Management: Monitor and address risks inherent to administrative and operational functions, implementing preventive and corrective measures.
SIPAT Coordination: Coordinate the unit's SIPAT in collaboration with the client.
PPRA Preparation: Prepare the unit's PPRA to ensure compliance with safety standards.
CIPA Organization: Organize and oversee the unit's CIPA activities.
Safety Training: Conduct specific safety training sessions for all employees.
Accident Monitoring: Monitor, control, and report occurrences of work accidents, issuing CAT as required.
Asset Conservation: Ensure the conservation of the company's assets, including vehicles, equipment, resources, and facilities.
Compliance: Strictly comply with all company and customer procedures, standards, and specifications.
Professional Standards: Correctly use uniforms and protective equipment provided by the company and demonstrate behavior compatible with the role.
Operational Goals: Commit to achieving operational goals defined in collaboration with the client, DPO/VPO, and the Excellence Program.
Related Activities: Perform related activities and respond to requests from superiors as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience in health and safety roles, preferably in the logistics industry.
Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to identify and manage risks effectively.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
