Social Media Marketing Intern

We are offering an opportunity to student or new-to-market job seeker to take on a paid internship with a marketing agency. You will learn a lot on this exciting job and gain valuable skills in the field digital marketing realm.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Agency Owner and support social media publishing, organic and paid ads creation and campaigns, administrative tasks and community management.

This is an opportunity to learn on the job across a wide range of marketing practices!

This is a half-day position allowing the candidate flexibility with the option to work remotely once established.

The ideal candidate is a hard-working team player who will play a critical role in creating original digital content across various social media platforms.

REQUIREMENTS

A qualification or currently studying marketing, media or relevant field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Individual who takes initiative, with a drive to go the extra mile and deliver on tasks to the best of their ability.
An understanding of different social media channels, especially Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn, and their features.
Familiarity with social publishing tools, and photography/videography editing tools would be advantageous.
Eye for design
Strong graphic design skills with proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or Canva would be advantageous.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic understanding of SEO and digital marketing principles is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the creation of written content.
Create original content
Develop social media strategies.
Monitor social media channels for customer feedback and engage with the audience to build a loyal community.
Escalate queries to customer service or relevant department as needed.
Assist with day-to-day administrative duties.
Stay up to date with social media trends and assist the team with monthly reporting.
