Senior Accountant - Accounting Firm Kloof

An Accounting firm in Kloof, that has been in operation since 1986, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their small team. The firm handles estates, trusts, executive financial summaries and strategic financial reports (management accounts), payroll and tax for their 200+ clients.

The role entails:
- Overseeing the drafting and reviewing of financial statements for 200+ clients.
- Being client facing. When a client has a problem they will contact the Senior Accountant to assist them, therefore this person also needs to be able to communicate effectively with the clients.
- Mentoring and managing an Accountant and an Administrator
- Working in conjunction with a tax specialist, so strong tax knowledge is not essential
- Being strategic and being part of the further growth of the firm

Requirements:
- Accounting qualification
- A minimum of 3 years senior accounting experience
- Advanced Excel
- Working knowledge of Pastel, Draftworx (very similar to Caseware so experience with Caseware will suffice), Quickbooks and Xero.
- Emotional intelligence
- The ability to interact positively with clients
- High numeracy
- Excellent communication in written and verbal English
