Quality Control Inspector

Summary:
SA Van Conversions is looking for a Quality Control Inspector who will be responsible for making sure that all non-conformances are identified and rectified so that vehicles meet a set of standards by passing each checklist stage. This includes examining inventory and raw materials and training team to improve production quality.

Job Description:
 Reviewing blueprints and specifications to compare to produced goods
 Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
 Performs inspections on raw materials
 Generation of quality control documentation
 Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions and examining functionality
 Checking that the assembly or production line adheres to the checklist
 Compliance with relevant legal and statutory requirements
 Measuring and testing equipment is checked to comply with specifications
 Production process is monitored daily
 Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database
 Training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence
 Determining the causes of product defects and reworks

Preferred qualifications:

• 2-4 years’ relevant experience
• Quality Management certificate
• Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma
