About the Role

Liaise with the Production Planning Manager on production schedules and oversee the activities of the shift operators and finishers. Resolve any production problems.

Responsibilities

Make out all required job cards for the work discussed for this period.
Ensure that the Shift Foremen understand the work required for each shift and that they have the right tools to do the job.
Confirm that moulds received are according to specification and ensure that all tools for
production use is in good condition.
Ensure that all SAP entries are kept up to date
Ensure that all the documents required for the scheduled jobs have been correctly issued.
Record and report any unresolved production difficulties experienced to the Production Planning Manager.
Ensure that all shift and stock containers are loaded and that the usage records for the compound are correct and forwarded to the relevant department.
Candidate Requirements

Qualifications

Grade 12 with Maths
N4 Mechanical/drawings
Problem solving skills
5S lean manufacturing practices
Knowledge of rubber moulding procedures
Quality control/quality assurance
Knowledge of trimming and finishing processes.
Supervisory and labour relations skills.
Knowledge of disciplinary procedures
Able to read and interpret drawings
MS Excel, Word, PPT, SAPator
Experience

Supervision experience in production management 5 years
Production, planning and control 3 years
