Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 - 5 years’ experience within a similar role.

You will be responsible for:

Accurately analysing and recording all financial transactions according to accounting principles

Maintain and reconcile general ledger

Reconcile accounts payable

Assist with Accounts Receivable

Bank reconciliation

Reconcile medical aid contributions

Manage, record and maintain asset register

Petty Cash

Processing of month end journals

Managing and maintaining general administration including filing

Screening phone calls, enquiries, and requests and handling them when appropriate and delegating to the correct department where necessary

Minute taking and implementation of tasks discussed in meetings

Producing all documents and reports required for monthly review and recon by management

Liaising with clients, suppliers and finance houses

Managing and drafting all letters and documents to be signed off by management for clients, suppliers and staff

Assisting with personal errands for management when required

Qualifications:

Matric / Grade 12 Certificate

Bachelor Degree in B. Com / B.Compt / B,Acc (Financial Accounting)

Completed SAICA / SAIPA Articles

4 - 5 Years accounting experience within the manufacturing industry will be adv.

MS Office (Advanced Excel) & Sage/ Pastel

Skills:

Good communication skills and able to work well with a diverse team (Afrikaans & English)

Deadline orientated and work well under pressure
