Job Description

My client is currently looking for a Procurement Lead. This is a 2 year fixed contract.

Key performance areas:
Ensure governance and compliance to procurement controls and standards.
• Lead tender process from start to end
• Negotiate contracts and approve prices, delivery and payment terms and quality requirements to meet standards.
• Drive contract management activities and contract compliance
• Prepare notices and other correspondence for signature by the Project Manager in accordance with the requirements of the contracts.
• Finalise status of all contracts including outstanding claims
• Expediting equipment delivery in accordance with approved project schedule and issuing of expediting reports.
• Ensure that all logistics and customs functions are performed in accordance with geographic requirements.
• Engage and liaise with the appointed Clearing and Forwarding company.
• Facilitate the coordination of international shippers and local shipping companies for smooth transportation of imports and exports.
• Oversee and coordinate supply chain transport truck for pickup and delivery of material.
• Ensure proper filing for all imports and exports documentation for tax revenue authority audits.
• Apply understanding of the customs bonded process, as well as road regulation to ensure that all customs and logistics functions comply with requirements.
• Promote and adhere to company procedures, policies and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC).

Job Requirement:
Relevant Tertiary Qualification (degree/diploma (Supply Chain/Commerce/B Com/ Engineering/BSc)
• MCIPS advantageous
• 3+ years Procurement / Purchasing / Tendering/
Contract Management experience
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of Procurement processes and Supply Chain management
• Ability to engage/manage/partner with stakeholders at all levels
• Good business analysis skills to generate business insight, add measurable value.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong procurement and negotiating skills.
• Goal-orientated and committed to delivering quality outputs.
