General Worker / Operator

Core Responsibilities – Operate the FOG plant as per Standard Operating Procedures. Must work efficiently and achieve production goals and targets. The Senior Operator will be responsible for the day-to-today operation of the equipment and processing lines.

Additional Responsibilities:

Ensure optimal functioning and reduced downtime of the plant(s) at all times,

Maintain safe working procedures, adhere to the Health and Safety plan and cultivate a safety conscious culture,

To identify & list any technical faults, or risks.

Reporting to their line manager regularly,

Assist in staff skills training.

You will report to Production Supervisors, unless otherwise required by the company.

REQUIREMENTS

At least 5 to 10 years’ experience in a similar role and environment (manufacturing, piping, pumps, fitting, boilers, centrifuges, etc.),

Must be hard-working,

Must be hands on and willing to go the extra mile,

Must be able to lead teams,

Must have completed and passed matric,

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,

Excellent communication, time management and and organisational skills,

Must be able to get to and from site with their own form of transport,

Must have their own working mobile phone with Whatsapp installed on it,

Must be willing to work night and/or weekend shifts.
