National Operations Manager

Well established express breakbulk road freight company seeks a National Operations Manager to ensure the smooth operational running of branches within KZN, Mpumulanga and Gauteng..

Duties include:

Ensure operational processes and procedures are implement in all aspects of operations
Manage operational targets across the business
Manage the Branch in Johannesburg
Oversee the operations for all 6 branches to ensure they meet their operational KPIs
Develop and lead direct reports to achieve objectives.
Ensure compliance with relevant legal and statutory requirements and internationally accepted environmental, health, safety and quality standards.
Contribute to annual operational budget forecast
Take immediate action on non-compliance issues
Ensure the OHS and quality standards
Identify and timeously address functional related problems and opportunities
Ensure client relationships are maintained
Competitor analysis
Control expenses to assist with the GP of the branch
experience with unions nationally
Manage Employment Equity requirements in the branches.


Requirements:

Matric
Tertiary Qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain (RAU Advantageous)
10 Years’ experience in the Breakbulk Road Transport Industry
Min 8 Years’ experience in a Leadership and Operations Management Role
Experience in dealing with Unions essential
Fleet Management and mechanical knowledge required
