Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The purpose of this job is to receive completed product orders from the factory and to prepare them for distribution to various locations and customers in such a manner as to ensure delivery deadlines are kept and customer invoicing for goods delivered can occur in time. This includes boxing of products, storing of products, arranging couriers for collection, preparing delivery documents, and some general factory administrative duties.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Coordinate and schedule the despatch of finished garments to customers.
•Ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
•Track and monitor delivery progress.
•Communicate with representatives and internal departments to resolve any issues or delays.
•Prepare and maintain accurate records and documentation.
•Monitor and maintain inventory levels of packaging materials.
•Coordination of freight and transportation.
•Work closely with production team to ensure despatch schedule aligns with production schedule.
•Customers WIP report to be updated daily.
•Update Fast React of in and out bound orders.
•Update samples received from production on Sample Movement report and return to marketing on Mon, Wed and Fri at 11am.
•Uphold health and safety regulations within despatch department.
•Generate delivery notes on Sage program.
•Supervise packers & ironers.
•Managing reject garments.
REQUIREMENTS:
•Matric or equivalent knowledge and experience
•Post matric qualification in warehouse management or distribution will be advantageous
•3-5 years’ previous experience as distribution or dispatch clerk
•Previous experience of working with couriers, making bookings, quotes and other admin
•Reliable with an excellent attendance record
•Good health – able to move/ pick up heavy objects
•Able to walk around/ stand for long durations
•Good computer skills (email, MS Office, recording data, reporting)
