Magazine Journalist / Content Writer

Job Overview:
We are looking for a driven, self-motivated, and energetic Magazine Journalist / Content Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and managing content across various platforms, including our Company Magazine, newsletters, blogs, and websites. The candidate should be a confident, proactive individual who enjoys conducting interviews, researching industry trends, and travelling when necessary. This role is perfect for someone with a 'Type A' personality, a go-getter attitude, and a passion for storytelling, ensuring all content produced is engaging and aligned with our business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Company Magazine Content
- Take responsibility for the majority of content in the Company Magazine
- Adhere to all deadlines based on a schedule set in collaboration with the Marketing Director
- Cover a wide range of topics relevant to our target audience, adhering to the content plan
- Be self-driven with a strong passion for making this magazine a leader in the industry
• Press Pack and Rate
- Card Collaborate with the designer to develop a press pack and rate card for potential advertisers.
- Ensure these materials effectively promote the magazine to prospective advertisers
• Digital Newsletters
- Create content for bi-monthly newsletters for three companies
- Deliver a minimum of 6 newsletters per company, ensuring that the content is engaging, concise, and impactful
• Company Website Blog
- Develop and manage a problem-solving/product blog for the Company website
- Ensure the blog focuses on product tips, processes, and enhancing SEO
• News Section for Websites & Portals
- Manage the news section on company websites and portals, ensuring regular updates with product news and events
- Ensure at least two stories per site per month and keep the portal up to date (news section)
• Collaboration
- Work closely with the designer to create a visually appealing magazine, consistently updating her on the readiness of each article, and ensuring that all articles are accompanied by relevant visuals

Requirements:
• Proven experience in content writing, journalism, or a related field
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Strong research and interviewing skills
• Ability to travel for interviews and research as required
• Self-motivated, proactive, passionate, and able to meet deadlines
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with the design and digital teams
