Job Description

Key Requirements:
- South Africa Navy experience or Maritime experience a must
- Must provide PSIRA registration number
- Excellent command of English language both written and verbal.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Very good understanding of cargo vessels, their operations and maritime security operations
- Proactive, self-motivated, effective, well organized and with problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to observe details, plan, multi-task and manage time effectively.
- Strong capabilities in close monitoring, report compilation, organizing tasks, and efficient record keeping.
- Computer literate, with excellent knowledge and working abilities in Microsoft Office.
Qualifications:
- Relevant ex SA Navy or Maritime Security training and minimum 2 years of experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor the Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) and Surveillance security systems.
- Promptly report any Safety, Security, or technical matters and create corresponding tickets.
- Efficiently perform and coordinate day-to-day tasks, ensuring they are carried out in a timely and effective manner, following the instructions of the Senior Operator and / or Supervisor.
- Conduct a comprehensive and thorough handover prior to the commencement of each shift.
- Aid in the training of new and existing personnel, following the guidance of the Operations Supervisor.
- Provide assistance and support to the department as directed by the Operations Supervisor.
- Assist in investigations as instructed.
- Possess extensive knowledge and understanding of the prescribed actions to be taken in the event of an incident, following the company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
