Job Description
responsible for implementing and managing ISO systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and optimizing
procurement processes to align with best practices. This role requires a deep understanding of ISO standards, exceptional
organizational skills, and a proactive approach to procurement management. This role forms part of the Management Team and will report into the CPO.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. ISO Systems Implementation and Management:
• Develop, implement, and maintain ISO management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) in line with
organizational requirements.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards by conducting regular audits, assessments, and reviews.
• Provide training and support to staff on ISO standards and procedures.
• Continuously monitor and improve the effectiveness of the ISO management systems.
2. Procurement Best Practices:
• Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures that align with industry best practices.
• Manage the procurement process, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities.
3. Supplier Relationship Management:
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations and develop improvement plans.
• Negotiate favourable terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings and value for the organization.
4. Continuous Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies in ISO systems and procurement.
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and developments to ensure the organization remains competitive.
5. Reporting and Documentation:
• Prepare and present reports on ISO compliance and procurement performance to senior management.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to ISO systems and procurement activities.
• Ensure all records and documentation comply with organizational policies and ISO standards.
QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Quality Management, or a relevant legal
qualification is preferable.
• A legal background or legal experience is preferable.
• Certification in ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in implementing and managing ISO systems.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, best practices, and supplier management.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using procurement and quality management software.
• Experience in a similar role within the manufacturing, supply chain, corporate.
• Project management experience and certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
• Familiarity with other standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and regulatory requirements relevant to the industry.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
