Job Description

Responsible for identifying and implementing sound, profitable business strategies and best practices. Must be hands-on. Set short and long term goals and define strategies and design the roadmap for achieving them. Directly involved in the design and implementation of all sales and marketing plans. Directly involved in preparing budgets for approval by the Board. Develop and deliver on the companies strategic plan and be accountable for the overall performance of te company and the day today running and management of the business.

Qualifications:
Undergraduate Degree (preferably in the field linked to Mining and/or construction).
Post Graduate Degree in Business
Minimum10+ years in Earthmoving Equipment or related Industries (either capital equipment or industrial industries)
5+ Years experience running businesses with direct P & L and Balance Sheet responsibility
Proven track record of devising, implementing and achieving corporate goals.

Responsibilities:
Oversee the efficient and effective day to day operation of the organization
Work with direct reports and the management to devise and implement department goals
Ensure operations meet the expectations of its clients, Board and Shareholders
Draft policies for approval of the Board and prepare procedures to implement.
Develop and oversee sales and marketing plans.
Lead preparation of budgets for board approval
Manage, motivate, develop and lead members of Exco Team

Human Resource planning and Management
Determine staffing requirements
Oversee the implementation of the HR Policies, procedures and practices
Recruit, interview and select staff
Implement performance management process for all staff
Coach and mentor staff

Financial Planning and Management
Work with finance team to prepare comprehensive budget
]Work with board and shareholders to secure adequate funding for the operation of the organization
Manage expenditures

Risk Management
Identify and evaluate the risks to the organizations people
Ensure that the Board of Directors and the organization carry appropriate and adequate insurance coverage.
