Job Description
Area; Midrand/Sandton/Fourways
Salary; R7500 plus commission (high commission earning ability)
Partial training will be provided
The Hotel Concierge provides exceptional guest service by anticipating and fulfilling guest needs. This includes assisting with reservations, transportation, activities, dining, and special requests, ensuring each guest has an outstanding experience. The role requires expert local knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering personalized service.
Minimum Requirements
Education & Certifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree or relevant hospitality training is a plus.
Certifications:
A Concierge certification (e.g., Les Clefs d'Or) is a plus, though not required.
CPR and First Aid certification may be beneficial.
Physical Demands:
The role may require standing or sitting for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry items (such as bags or packages) weighing up to 25 lbs may be needed.
Work Hours:
The role may require evening, weekend, and holiday shifts depending on hotel operations.
Experience:
Previous experience in a concierge or guest services role, preferably within a hotel or resort setting.
Strong knowledge of local attractions, dining, and services.
Experience with concierge systems or software is an advantage.
