FRONT-END ENGINEER
Level: Mid-Level Location: Cape Town (CBD)
Salary: R 300 000 - R 400 000 (pa)

Join a fast-growing fintech startup as a Mid-Level Front-end Engineer and play a key role in developing intuitive, high-performance UIs for a diverse, international client base. Collaborating with backend engineers and product teams, you’ll help design and build scalable web applications that make a tangible impact in the fintech space.

Responsibility:
· Design and develop responsive, scalable user interfaces for web and mobile platforms, ensuring a seamless experience across devices.
· Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs, ensuring smooth and efficient data exchange between systems.
· Use React, Tailwind CSS, HTML, and CSS to build high-performance, maintainable solutions.
· Optimize web applications for speed, scalability, and performance.
· Stay up to date with emerging frontend technologies and best practices, contributing to continuous improvement in development processes.
· Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet both user needs and business goals.

What We’re Looking For:
· 3+ years of hands-on experience in frontend development, with a strong focus on creating dynamic, scalable user interfaces.
· Proven proficiency with React and Tailwind CSS, as well as HTML and CSS.
· Experience working with APIs, including integrating them into web applications.
· Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Snowflake (preferred).
· A strong understanding of UI/UX principles, with the ability to design with the user in mind.
· Experience with version control systems like Git.
· Passion for building clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to best practices.
· Ability to optimize web applications for speed, scalability, and performance.
