Civil Engineer / Technologist

Company Overview:
An established consulting engineering firm specializing in civil, structural, and traffic engineering, located in Alberton.
Position Type:
Permanent or fixed-term contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Drawing Development: Create detailed drawings from preliminary concepts and sketches using AutoCAD 2025 and Revit.
- Structural Analysis and Design: Conduct structural analyses and design for reinforced concrete and structural steel using Prokon, Robot, or other relevant design software.
- Material Estimation: Prepare material estimates for projects.
- Engineering Specifications: Assist in developing engineering specifications and detailed drawings.
- Field Surveys and Inspections: Conduct field surveys, inspections, or technical investigations of topography, soils, drainage systems, buildings, and structures to gather data for engineering projects.
- Technical Support: Perform various technical functions to support civil engineering activities.

Qualifications:
- Education: National Diploma or B Tech in Structural Engineering (Minimum Qualification).
- Experience: Relevant experience in civil engineering is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Must be fully computer literate, particularly in MS Word and Excel. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required.
- Location: Candidates must reside in or near Alberton.
