Job Description
* Repairing diesel engines and all the components to ensure the engines operate efficiently
* Conducting route cause failure analysis inspections to determine the cause of failure on components
* Correcting vehicle (defects) by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling and replacing impaired parts or components according to Company procedure.
* Ensuring the continuous upkeep of preventive maintenance schedules
* Collecting work orders daily and completing job cards for every completed task.
* Test drive heavy vehicles after service and repair.
Requirements:
* Recognised trade test in Diesel Mechanic coupled with 5 years of experience in fault finding, repair and maintenance.
* Understanding of electrical pneumatics and hydraulic systems within heavy-duty vehicles, as well as being able to perform maintenance and repairs on these systems.
* Efficient communication in Afrikaans and English
* High level problem-solving skills
* Valid driver's lisence with own transport.
