Job Description

Location: Stellenbosch
Salary: R18k – R22k p/m - Neg on exp
Type: Permanent

Requirements

Completed Grade 12 (NSC)
3 – 5 years’+ experience in similar hospitality position
Related Hospitality qualification preferred
Must have driver’s license & own transport
Must have good admin, planning & organisational skills
Must be a multi-tasker & problem-solver
SA Citizenship
MS Office literacy
Industry working hours apply

Duties

• Plan, organise, and co-ordinate people and daily operations
• Supervise staff duties & communicate info to ensure excellent guest service
• Liaise with Management regarding business/staff issues
• Provide feedback to Management about special tasks & guest information
• Provide detailed handover to Night Duty staff
• Assist with recruiting & staff training if required
• Communicate with housekeeping & kitchen staff about guest needs & dietary requests
• Prepare staff work roster
• Check quantity & quality of stock, supplies & equipment
• Manage & record stock levels of housekeeping and food and beverage requirements
• Allocate purchases to cost centre & keep expenses sheet updated
• Reconcile guest invoices at month end for finance department
• Maintain Petty Cash & Staff Tips records. Reconcile at month end for finance department
• Ensure guest satisfaction & excellent customer service
• Assist guests with reservations for restaurants, transport & spa services on request
• Provide guests with information of wine estates, restaurants & activities
• Ensure cleanliness of premises & staff appearance (uniforms)
• Manage check-in & check-out procedures
• Ensure facilities are maintained & report maintenance issues to Management
• Manage & resolve guest complaints & queries or escalate to Management
• Convey issues or customer suggestions Management/owner
• Promote & market business via social media
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety legislation & licensing laws in liaison with finance department
• Assist with prep & serving of meals & beverages to guests when required
• Assist housekeeping with cleaning common areas & room changes when required
• Perform ad-hoc duties when needed by Management
Salary:
R 20 000,00 Monthly
