Brief Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and commission-driven Sales Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to going above and beyond traditional office hours to achieve sales targets. If you're motivated by commissions and thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, this is the role for you.
This role requires more than just meeting basic expectations. If you're looking for a job where doing the bare minimum is sufficient, this position may not be the right fit for you.
Experience Required:
- Proven track record in selling educational products/services to schools, including presenting and closing deals with school principals.
- Hands-on experience in field sales, including appointment setting, conducting presentations (individual and group), and closing deals.
- Strong background in customer relations and maintaining long-term relationships with clients.
Skills & Attributes:
- Passionate about education in South Africa and committed to making a positive impact in the education sector.
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working under pressure to meet weekly and monthly sales targets.
- Open to learning and applying new sales techniques and strategies.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Qualifications:
- Matric certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Key Responsibilities & Performance Indicators (KPIs):
As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for:
- Identifying potential schools (prospects) through online research and other sources to build a prospect list.
- Reaching out to school principals to schedule appointments and deliver compelling presentations on our educational programs.
- Closing sales with schools for various products and services, including our Maths teacher program.
- Building lasting relationships with clients, creating opportunities for upselling additional products in the future.
- Attending School Governing Body (SGB) meetings, parents' meetings, and educational events to promote and sell our products/services.
- Participating in marketing-driven initiatives such as webinars and lead generation activities to increase sales.
- Working closely with the Marketing team to identify opportunities for sales growth.
- Regularly achieving set sales targets and attending sales meetings to report on progress.
- Following company systems for tracking production and performance.
- Continuously improving your sales skills through company-provided training.
