Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable HR/IR Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist in a variety of human resource projects, providing valuable human capital advice to our clients. Your expertise will help optimize everyday processes while also implementing strategic HR plans and technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy Development
• Evaluate and identify human capital inefficiencies.
• Recommend solutions and develop HR strategies and models.
• Provide advice on HR policies and best practices.
Client Administration
• Ensure alignment with HR & IR best practices.
• Facilitate effective communication between the clients and the clients’ employees.
• Assist in planning and implementing regular feedback to clients.
Industrial Relations
• Draft disciplinary charge sheets and chair disciplinary enquiries.
• Provide guidance on disciplinary, counselling sessions and grievance matters.
• Handle industrial relations issues, including CCMA and union-related matters.
Client Relationship Management
• Build and maintain sustainable relationships with current and new clients.
• Identify and secure two new clients per month to meet sales targets.
General Administration
• Manage daily client queries and provide timely feedback.
• Keep accurate records of timesheets and travel.
• Be able to market the consultancy to new clients.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in HR technology.
Qualifications
• Matriculation certificate.
• Post-matric qualification and relevant experience are advantageous.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR or IR consultant or in a similar role.
Skills and Experience
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Strong administration and organizational abilities.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
• High level of interpersonal skills and integrity; a solid team player.
• Comprehensive understanding of BCEA, EEA, LRA legislation.
• Knowledge of recruitment practices and techniques.
• Experience in project management, preferably HR-related.
• Ability to strategize and formulate business plans.
• Motivated, disciplined, and adaptable to change.
• Knowledge of payroll programs is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English and a second language is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.
