Are you an experienced Accounting & Tax professional looking for your next opportunity? My client in the automotive industry is seeking a highly skilled Accounting and Tax Coordinator to oversee financial reporting, taxation, and compliance.
Requirements:
Education:
• B.Com (Accounting) Honours (Articles preferred)
• Taxation diploma/qualification (advantageous)

Experience & Skills:
• 4-5+ years in financial statement preparation, audit packs, and financial analysis
• 3-4+ years in taxation calculations, including IRP6/IT14’s and withholding tax
• Solid knowledge of tax laws, prescribed rates, and compliance regulations
• Advanced expertise in VAT, PAYE, and company tax submissions
• Strong understanding of financial controls, IFRS16, and reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Office Suite

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
• Prepare monthly, interim, and year-end financial statements
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and maintain financial controls
• Ensure compliance with IFRS standards, tax laws, and internal policies
• Submit CIPC and SARS returns and liaise with SARS officials

Taxation & Audits:
• Calculate and process income tax, deferred tax (IRP6/IT14’s), withholding tax, VAT journals
• Prepare and submit VAT reconciliations, tax returns, and audit files
• Ensure accurate tax payments and meet all SARS deadlines
• Manage company tax audits and resolve tax-related queries

Other Responsibilities:
• Maintain fixed asset registers & CAPEX reporting
• Assist with financial policy development and mentor team members
• Prepare reports for Statistics SA and government institutions
