Job Description
We are excited to bring this incredible opportunity to a meticulous and passionate travel professional with a knack for orchestrating unforgettable group experiences! You will join a team that is devoted to crafting seamless and extraordinary journeys to perfection.
Your Quest Awaits:
• As a Group Journey designer, you will execute complex group and group series itineraries, ensuring every detail aligns with client expectations.
• You will expertly manage all aspects of reservations, from securing accommodations and transportation to coordinating meet-and-greets and tour guide services.
• With expert skill and accuracy, you will manage quoting, invoicing, and payment processes, ensuring timely and transparent transactions.
• Client Relationship Champion: Build strong relationships with international agents, providing exceptional service and maintaining clear communication throughout the travel process.
• Proactively and efficiently, you will love the challenge of resolving problems and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable travel experience for all group members.
• Compiling comprehensive travel packs, itineraries, and rooming lists are second nature to you as you know how important it is that all necessary information is readily available.
• Here your negotiating skills will come to the fore. Your warm and adventurous nature will build strong relationships with suppliers, enabling you to negotiate optimal rates to ensure the best possible products and value for your beloved clients.
Your Essential Toolkit:
• Matric/Grade 12 Certification.
• 3-5 years of experience in the inbound tourism industry, with a focus on groups and group series.
• Proven ability to manage complex costing and itineraries for group travel.
• A Travel & Tourism qualification is highly advantageous.
• Proficiency in Tourplan or similar reservation systems.
• Strong understanding of Southern African and regional destinations.
• Exceptional logistical and organizational skills.
• Fluency in German is highly desirable, enabling effective communication with German-speaking clients and partners.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
