- Ensure compliance with regards to safety training and adherence to procedures, policies, safety rules and regulations
- Ensure compliance of plant equipment and tools to legal standards
- Report and be involved when investigating incidents and near misses
- Complete all required safety training
- Attend departmental safety meetings

- Ensure work is performed according to electrical trade standards
- On time and quality execution of assigned duties and tasks
- Execution of planned maintenance
- Coaching and guiding of team members
- Pro-actively identify faults that can lead to plant downtime
- Participate in root cause analysis to reduce unplanned stoppages
- Initiate suggestions for plant modifications and improvements
- Perform shutdown duties
- Perform standby duties and overtime when required

Qualifications
- National Senior Certificate
- NQF Level 4-5 Higher Certificate – Trade Test as Electrician

Experience
- Maintenance in a heavy equipment environment – 3 years
- Cement industry experience – 3 years
