Training interventions provided by Learn to Earn are circumstantial, practical and market related. Job Description

Hold to LtE’s statement of faith and be an active member of an evangelical church.
• Acts with the highest integrity, honesty, professionalism, and ethics in all matters of work and personal
life.
• Be in possession of a relevant diploma in Business Skills and Management.
• Relevant Training Diploma would be advantageous, however previous training experience is required.
• Proven track record in education and social development.
• Have at least 3 years’ experience working in a multi-cultural and diverse training environment.
• Experience in the NPO PBO sector will be advantageous.
• Passionate about developing the unemployed and eradicating the legacies of injustice.
• Must be high performance orientated, can work independently, have functional proficiency, and
initiative.
• Good computer and administrative skills required.
• Able to interact comfortably and effectively within an inter-cultural environment made up of different
social, economic, cultural, and educational backgrounds and be team orientated.
• Good report writing skills and well-developed communication skills in English, while knowledge of
isiXhosa/Afrikaans would be beneficial.
• Have a valid driver’s licence: Code B
• Three independent contactable references, from previous reporting lines.

Provide training in Business Essentials according to the set curriculum to LtE students focusing on a holistic
approach by applying various training modalities, both theory and practical, to ensure the achievement of
the outcomes as set for each module.
• To attend to all administrative aspects of the course including training preparation (course outlines, lesson
plans, timeous ordering of materials) and training administration (assessments, reports, coaching
documents and maintenance of the database).
Updating the training material in consultation with counterparts on other campuses, Branch Managers
and Chief Operating Officer on a regular basis.
• Provide stories of interest and life changes related to our students to our media desk and fundraising
team.
• To mentor and coach students attending the Business Essentials Course in order that they can achieve the
best outcome.
• To attend excursions of students attending the Business Essentials course i.e. Basic Sewing, Bake for Profit
and Basic Handyman.
• To exercise control over the use and safekeeping of equipment.
• Promoting and marketing the Skills Courses on offer at Learn to Earn.
• To participate in the planning and organizing of graduation ceremonies for students who successfully
completed their course.
• To attend periodic meetings with the Branch Manager to discuss and review progress of the course.
• To participate in staff development from time to time, i.e. in-house training, external training, refresher
courses, etc.
Salary:
R 17 000,00 Monthly
