Job Description

Our Client is a market leader in the FMCG sector.
They have an opportunity for a Finance guru to support their marketing team.

Key responsibilities include:
• Oversee the financial management of the Marketing spend to ensure internal alignment and effective budget management
• Leadership and direction to a small finance team of two, ensuring effective handling of marketing inputs
• Monitor and manage budgets, providing timely and accurate financial updates to senior leadership to support transparent and informed decision-making.
• Act as a key liaison between Marketing, Sales, Group Finance, and Principal Partners, fostering cross-functional collaboration and ensuring seamless communication on marketing matters.
• Responsible for driving marketing spend recovery through effective reconciliation, timely billing, and proactive recovery of funds from principal debtors.
• Drive improvements in financial operations, contributing to a more efficient finance function that enhances cash flow management.
• Implement financial process changes initiated by Principal partners by aligning and adapting internal procedures, while driving continuous improvement to enhance efficiency
• Manage and respond to internal and principal audit queries related to marketing spend, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution

To qualify, you will need:
• Relevant Accounting Degree/Diploma
• 3 to 4 years of Finance experience working in a similar FMCG/Marketing environment
• Experience leading a team would be an advantage
• A strong ability to display initiative and to overcome obstacles
• Strong analytical ability
• Sound SAP experience
• Strong commercial acumen
• Superior Microsoft Excel Skills
• Excellent attention to detail, planning and accuracy
• Innovative thinker and problem solver
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills
