Job Description

Are you passionate about accounting and on your way to becoming a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA))?

We’re looking for a Trainee Accountant with at least 1 year of experience and a solid foundation in financial reporting, tax, and compliance—ideally with some exposure to the transport industry.

Minimum requirements:

Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting (completed or in progress)
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Trainee Accountant
Familiarity with the transport/logistics industry is advantageous
Proficient in Excel, SharePoint, and procurement platforms
Knowledge of Draftworx, Caseware, and Pastel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Bilingual in Afrikaans and English preferred

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with bookkeeping to trial balance
Prepare financial statements and management reports using Draftworx, Caseware, and Pastel
Perform VAT and PAYE reviews and submissions
Reconcile accounts, process invoices, and manage debtors collections
Assist in tax calculations, registrations, and SARS compliance
Liaise with clients and provide support on accounting queries
Maintain SARS accounts and manage tax clearance applications
Ensure compliance with IFRS and auditing standards
