Job Description

Finance Accounts Officer
Job Specifications
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Finance Accounts Officer to join our esteemed hospitality group. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading the financial operations across our hotel and food & beverage (F&B) departments, ensuring sound financial management, robust internal controls, and accurate reporting.
Minimum Requirements:
• Degree or National Diploma in Accounting, Cost & Management Accounting, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years’ working experience in a similar finance/accounting role, preferably within the hospitality sector.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (advanced level required).
• Solid understanding of hospitality accounting principles, revenue recognition, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic financial leadership and supervision to the Hotels and Food & Beverage Finance team.
• Calculations and completion of IT12 and IT14
• Calculation and completion of provisional tax returns
• Completion of IRP 501 Employees’ tax reconciliations
• Issuing of IT3 (a) and IRP 5 certificates
• Calculations, completion of VAT and EMP 201 (PAYE) returns
• Oversee and verify daily revenue reconciliations for all lodge operations.
• Maintain and enforce internal control systems and standard operating financial procedures across all operational units.
• Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies, ensuring swift resolution of any queries raised by operational teams.
• Prepare and post month-end journals; reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts in a timely manner.
• Contribute to the preparation of periodic financial statements, forecasts, and management reports.
• Act as a financial advisor to operational departments, promoting sound decision-making based on accurate financial data.
