Job Description
The company has been manufacturing machines locally since 2012 and supplying them to mines across the country and beyond the borders branching out further into Africa. The company has a range of trackless mobile machines (TMMs) designed and manufactured locally in Boksburg, South Africa. These machines include low-profile and narrow vein loaders predominantly for smaller mining applications.
About the Role
Acts as a technical resource in assisting to resolve problems with equipment and data; responds a centralized help desk to facilitate exchange of information and advice; implements solutions or notifies outsource providers as required.
Responsibilities
Create & update items on the ERP system.
Update and maintain the ERP system with technical detail &
Documentation.
Create and maintain various bill of Materials & routing cards.
Assist & support quality, production, internal and external sales with queries around technical content, drawings, parts or BOMs.
Manage workshop job related queries around BOMS.
Audit BOMs and liaise with designers/engineers around changes etc.
Audit Parts manuals to BOMs where necessary.
Audit/Maintain and up keeping of the technical parts library.
Liaise with stake holders on technical queries.
Costing and cost reduction/improvements.
Requirements
Experience and Qualifications
Grade 12/Matric or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 2 Years’ industry experience in technical administration & the automotive manufacturing industry an advantage.
Experience with ERP (SAP, Business Central or Navision).
Computer Literate (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
Technical Buying experience an Advantage.
Profiling and Fabrication back-round an Advantage.
Soft Skills
Neat and well presented.
Driven, results orientated with strong time management, prioritization and organizational skills.
Must be willing to work in a team and with various stake holders.
Must be able to work well under pressure.
Accurate, detail orientated and technical.
Strong Communication skills required.
