About the Role

The Group Business Development Manager (GBDM) holds a senior leadership position responsible for driving strategic revenue growth and commercial sustainability across multiple business entities within the Group. The role is pivotal in designing, positioning, and promoting integrated service-based offerings, identifying and converting high-value opportunities, and building market share nationally. The GBDM is expected to operate at an executive level, influencing strategic direction, forging high-level partnerships, and ensuring alignment of business development initiatives with the Group’s overall vision.

Responsibilities

Service Offering Strategy

Collaborate with leadership teams to define and position service offerings
Align offering with current market demand and customer expectations
Align all entities under a coherent and differentiated market value proposition

Cross-Entity Collaboration

Identify and develop integrated solutions spanning multiple business entities to leverage synergies and promote scales integrate service solutions
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to promote bundled services

Strategic Lead Generation

Design, implement and manage comprehensive lead generation frameworks, ensuring sustainable pipeline health

High Level Client Engagement

Establish, nurture executive level relationships with clients, partners and industry stakeholders
Represent the group at forums and events

Lead Generation and Pipeline Development

Design and implement targeted lead generation strategies/frameworks
Ensure consistent flow of high-quality leads to business units

Market Intelligence and Trend Analysis

Conduct regular market research and trend monitoring
Drive competitive research, customer insights and sector/industry trends
Translate findings into strategic recommendations to executive leadership

Stakeholder Engagement

Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Represent the group at industry events and client meetings

Performance Metrics and Reporting

Define KPIs for business development activities
Define key sale and growth metrics
Deliver regular performance updates, forecasts and strategic recommendations
Monitor progress and provide regular reports to requested leadership

Requirements

Experience, Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
MBA or equivalent preferred
Advance Proficiency in CRM systems, lead automation tools and Microsoft Office Suite
Proven experience in selling complex, service based solutions across diverse industries
Minimum 10 years in business development or strategic planning roles, with at least 5 – 7 years in a managerial role overseeing multiple business units.
Fluent in English (both verbal and written)
Mathematical level required: Advance – must confidently interpret financial models, market intelligence, sales pipelines and operational KPIs to drive insight driven decision making

Knowledge

In-depth understanding of strategic sales, solution based selling, service innovation and business development principles
Knowledge of integrated service delivery models across multiple entities
Strong knowledge of national market research methodologies and competitive analysis
Experience in building high performance sales and business development structures
