We are seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Forman to lead our team at a dynamic Steel Service centre .
Key responsibilities
Supervise and co-ordinate daily workshop operations
Manage a team of fabricators , machine operators , welders and general workshop staff .
Ensure productivity , safety and quality standards are met .
Plan and allocate jobs , monitor progress and maintain workflow .
Perform inspections and quality control .
Liase with management and clients on production requirements and deadlines.
Maintain equipment and workshop upkeep .
Experience
Proven experience as a Workshop Foreman or similar supervisory role in a steel or metal fabrication enviroment
Strong knowledge of steel processing , cutting and fabrication techniques including welding .
Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team .
Strong focus on quality assurance
Ability to read technical drawings and work with minimum supervision
Good communication and problem solving skills
