Job Title: Code 14 Truck Driver

Purpose of the Position:
To safely and efficiently transport goods using a flat deck truck or side tipper, ensuring all deliveries are made on time and in compliance with road safety regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
Operate and drive a flat deck Code 14 truck for long and short-haul deliveries

Secure and inspect loads to ensure safe transportation

Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company safety protocols

Complete delivery paperwork and logbooks accurately

Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients

Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the truck

Report any mechanical issues or incidents immediately

Minimum Requirements:
Valid Code 14 (EC) Driver’s License with valid PDP

Minimum 5 years’ truck driving experience, of which at least 3 years must be on flat deck trucks or side tippers

Proven track record of safe and responsible driving

Good knowledge of routes and road networks in [Insert Region/Provinces]

No criminal record

Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and overtime when required

Skills & Attributes:
Excellent driving and defensive driving skills

Physically fit and able to assist with securing loads

Reliable, honest, and professional work ethic

Punctual and able to work under pressure

Good communication and interpersonal skills
