Job Description
- B.Com Accounting Degree or similar
- Completed SAIPA Articles
- SAIPA Registration and in good standing (beneficial)
- Young and energetic person
- Experience in an accounting environment other than Articles
- No remote working
- Reliable transportation.
- Reside in Pretoria
- Own Medical aid cover – for proper medical care when ill.
- In good health
- Good communication skills (Afrikaans and English working environment)
- Committed, loyal, willing to assist where needed, even if it is not listed in job description
- Team player and be able to work on own without supervision
- Systems driven.
- Attention to detail, forward thinking

Typical duties (not limited to):
2 x companies (reporting directly to directors)
o Full accounting function via accounting software _Pastel
o Monthly Management statements
o Budget planning and cash flow schedules
o Compilation of Audit Files and submission to auditors, answer auditors’ queries
o Monthly Invoicing to clients
o Monthly processing of creditors and expenses information
o VAT calculation and return submissions (SARS efiling)
o Provisional tax calculations and return submissions
o EMP 201 return submission (SARS efiling)
o Intercompany transaction calculations and reconciliations
o Bi-Annual IRP 5 reconciliation and submission via [email protected]
o Human Resources: Payroll Function, appointment letters, salary processing etc – SAGE Business Online
o Annual Workman’s Compensation Return (ROE) calculations and submission
o B-BBEE planning and implementation
o Keeping all insurances up to date (PI Insurance, short term insurance, etc.)
o EFT Bank functions
o Overseeing IT functions (basic IT- knowledge will be beneficial)
o Own filing (hybrid between hard copy and electronic filing)
Project related – all will be explained if appointed
• Involvement on financial level on different projects simultaneously
• Letter of appointments/contracts with clients
• Project fee calculations and interactions with Quantity Surveyors/other consultants
• Internal Feasibility calculations of Architectural Projects using time sheet information and other data
• Compiling quotations and project spreadsheets where required.
