A great opportunity has arisen for an Accountant at a fast-growing accounting, tax and consulting firm based in Paarl. Due to growth, the firm is seeking to permanently employ an accountant that will be able to handle a fast-paced environment, pressure, is efficient with new technology.
We are registered accountants and tax practitioners. Services offered by the business include accounting, payroll and tax compliance.
The ideal candidate will have completed his or her accounting qualification.
Duties
• Managing and preparing accounting records to trail balance.
• Preparation of financial statements.
• Preparation of tax returns.
• Preparation of payroll.
• Preparation and Review of management accounts.
• Implementation / evaluation of internal controls.
Qualifications
• Courses in accounting systems.
• Qualified by experience in a practice environment.
Requirements
• Preferably residing in Paarl or nearby vicinity.
• Must be willing to work overtime to meet client deadlines.
• Able to work to tight deadlines.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• MS Excel and MS Word literacy required at advanced level.
• Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans.
• Bright, energetic, likes technology.
Salary – R10-15k per month.
