Job Description
Our client is a renowned Manufacturer of medical supplies, based in Midrand. They seek a strong Production Supervisor who will be responsible to oversee the daily production activities, ensuring efficient and quality-focused operations while adhering to strict regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include scheduling, resource allocation, quality control, team management, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Supervising Production:
Directing and coordinating production staff, scheduling work, and ensuring efficient resource utilization.
Quality Control:
Implementing and monitoring quality control procedures, conducting regular inspections, and addressing any deviations from quality standards.
Safety Compliance:
Enforcing safety protocols, conducting safety audits, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Team Management:
Hiring, training, and mentoring production personnel, setting performance goals, and providing regular feedback. Manage HR matters in conjunction with HR team. Manage staff clocking's and approval of hours, along with all other daily HR matters (leave, absence etc)
Process Improvement:
Identifying and addressing inefficiencies in production processes, implementing corrective actions, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintaining accurate production records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with documentation requirements.
Inventory Management:
Ensuring the availability of raw materials, components, and other necessary resources for production.
Equipment Maintenance:
Ensuring equipment is in good working order and coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed.
Regulatory Compliance:
Staying updated on relevant regulations and ensuring compliance with industry standards, including ISO requirements.
Collaboration:
Working closely with other departments, such as quality assurance, HR, and warehousing, to ensure smooth production operations.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in a production environment, preferably in medical manufacturing.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, and relevant technologies.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of production personnel.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, other departments, and management.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve production-related issues effectively.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to plan, organize, and prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in production and documentation.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant regulations, such as ISO standards.
