QA Analyst (Hybrid | Sandton)

Job opportunity available for QA Analyst to join a Software Development team and take the lead on quality assurance in a mature, fast-paced tech environment. This is a hybrid role based in Sandton, with a balance of remote work and in-office collaboration when needed.

You’ll play a key role in designing smart test strategies, leading execution across all levels of testing, and embedding quality throughout the development lifecycle. What you’ll do

You’ll lead testing efforts from planning through to execution, covering everything from functional and regression to performance and security testing.
You’ll work closely with developers, PMs, and stakeholders to ensure quality is built in from the start.
You’ll take ownership of defect management, spotting trends and helping prevent recurring issues.
Part of your role will also include mentoring junior testers, sharing your knowledge and experience to elevate the team.
You’ll build and maintain automation where it adds real value and push for continuous improvement across the QA function.
You’ll also contribute to risk assessments, ensuring stable and predictable releases, and bring fresh ideas to testing tools and techniques.

What we’re looking for
You have 5+ years of QA experience within a software development environment and hold at least an ISTQB certification.
You understand how to test thoroughly and can clearly communicate the value of testing to technical and non-technical audiences.
You have hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and know when and how to use them effectively.
You take initiative, work independently, and lead by example. Strong collaboration and communication skills are a must.
